El Anciano Rey de los Vinos is one of the few mythical taverns that preserve the traditions of traditional Madrid and which is also located in a totally privileged environment: between the Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace.

follows the guidelines set by the tradition of the taverns in Madrid: red facade and colorful tiles.

Castiza as the most, the tavern continues to be, over the years, a place of pleasant stay. Between its walls and its beautiful terrace -from which you can see a magnificent picture of the Cathedral of Almudena and the Royal Palace- you can enjoy a succulent gastronomic offer.

The tavern, enlarged in 2005, has a room with capacity for 30 people, with a time of 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., in addition to the bar area where you can taste some pinchos or major dishes from 10 in the morning until 12 at night, uninterrupted. Also the terrace, with capacity for 48 people, and with opening from March 15 to October 31, has a continuous cooking schedule from 10 in the morning until 12 at night.

El Anciano Rey de los Vinos has Tuesday as a day of rest (except holidays) and closes for holidays during the month of February. Its schedule is very extensive so it becomes easy to end up recalling the Elder King of the Wines: the L, X, J, V, S and D remains open from 10 in the morning to 1 in the morning, extending this schedule in one hour (until 2 in the morning) every Friday, Saturday and the eve of a summer holiday.
